Neckarsteinach otherwise known as the ‘Town of Four Castles’ is nestled into one of the most picturesque corners of the Neckar Valley. It is surrounded by the high forested hills of the Odenwald and circled by its famous ring of castles.
Take the opportunity to stroll through the medieval town dotted with churches, see the ancient town walls and half-timbered houses, or take part in a walking tour of the four castles to gain an insight into the town’s long history.
The tourist information office, which is also the most southerly entry point to the Geo-Naturepark Bergstraße-Odenwald, offers an abundance of information about the Geo-Naturepark, Neckarsteinach and the history of the Neckar Valley with its castles.
The information is presented in the form of display boards, models, dioramas, original artefacts and hands-on exhibits.
The information office is also home to the Eichendorff Museum.
